Job Description Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is hiring a full time RN (Registered Nurse) to join our Stepdown/Intermediate Care Team as a Unit Coordinator.

Position Overview
  • Full time; 36 hours per week; 7am - 7pm
  • Our patient population in our 24-bed unit are patients needing intermediate level of care. We care for a mixed patient population, but our primary population requires BiPAP. We have four (4) designated ventilator beds, and Phillips wall mounted monitors in all rooms to monitor our telemetry patients. We can assist you with earning your PCCN Certification and/ or MedSurg Certification. ICU is our sister unit, and we share the same education team.
  • As a Unit Coordinator, you will function in a charge nurse / staffing capacity role at times, but also have alternate tasks ranging from audits, staff schedules, patient experience, and committee work. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into additional leadership roles or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. Minimum Requirements

Experience
  • 18 months of nursing experience is required.
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience strongly preferred.
License and Certification
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
Education
  • RN-Bachelor s Degree - required
  • RN-Master s Degree - preferred
