Volt is immediately hiring for a RN Surgical Nurse Navigator in Syracuse, NY.

As a RN Surgical Nurse Navigator, you will:
  • Document health history, chief complaint, and vital signs. Provide patient care following guidelines, standards, and laws.
  • Schedule procedures/surgeries per provider's orders and operating room policies. Coordinate co-surgeries with multiple providers and assistants.
  • Review pretesting results using clinical knowledge. Notify primary care, surgeon, and care team of abnormal results. Ensure follow-up testing is ordered and completed.
  • Call post-operative patients to assess pain level and status.
  • Execute prescribed treatments and interventions. Monitor and document treatment progress and patient response. Consult with physicians and other health providers to resolve concerns. Educate patients and families about health status, maintenance, and management of conditions.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • NYS licensed/registered RN or eligible RN required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field three (3) years post licensure care RN experience (preferably in specialty) OR an AAS in Nursing and five (5) years post licensure RN experience (preferably in specialty) required.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills required.

Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Pay rate: $27.00 - $40.80/hr.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
