Career Title: Senior RN Certification Analyst Department: Certification Salary Hiring Range: $70,000-90,000 annually (paid bi-weekly) NOTE: Competitive salary commensurate with experience FLSA: Exempt Career Summary: The Senior Certification Analyst serves as an expert resource for nurse-related issues in the Certification Department by analyzing complex issues related to application for certification or recertification, communicating with nursing education program directors for clarification of academic supporting documents submitted with applications. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and preparing documents for regularly scheduled Escalated Review, Appeals, and Complaint Review Committee meetings as well as sending official communication of decisions at these meetings to applicants. Other duties include serving as a coach for Certification Analysts related to continual process improvement and providing application coverage, as necessary. Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze certification or recertification applications with complex issues, as escalated by Certification Analysts. Make decisions regarding eligibility and provide guidance for Certification Analyst action or bring issues to Escalated Review Meetings, as warranted, for final decisions. Communicate with clinicians and program directors for clarification of materials submitted for certification or recertification applications. Conduct appropriate research and prepare documents for Escalated Review, Appeals, and Complaint Review Committee meetings. Participate in appeals meetings, compiling, presenting applications, and answering questions related to not eligible decisions. Once decision is made, communicating the decision to the applicant. Communicate with certification retest applicants, by appointment, to review available resources. Represent ANCC at exhibits and conferences, and serve as an advocate for ANCC Certification in various forward-facing environments, such as Outreach Webinars, APRN Faculty Townhall sessions, etc. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse License, required. Baccalaureate in Nursing, or equivalent work experience, required. Master's in nursing, preferred. 7 years nursing experience. Registered work nurse experience (clinical or educator). Experience working with databases, including data entry. Familiar with advanced practice nursing concepts. Leadership or management experience preferred. Work Schedule: Hybrid: Employees are required to work a minimum of 20% in an ANA office.
