Summary: The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-range goals. They develop skills to handle clinical contingencies and delegate tasks to other care providers.
Responsibilities:
Meets OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders. Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Addressees complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Documents patient history, symptoms, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and educates patients and caregivers. Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred. BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact. Work Type: Per Diem As Needed.
