If you share our mission, please reach out to discuss joining our team. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse. The PRN RN OR Circulator provides circulating nurse services in the operating room during outpatient surgical procedures and assists the surgical team to provide top notch patient care within a busy multi-specialty surgery center. Responsibilities: Supervises and directs patient care in the individual operating rooms Performs all circulating duties with efficiency Ensure patient's emotional, physical and psychological needs are met Ensures that proper techniques and practices are used according to accepted standards of practice Supervises and assists scrub technician as necessary Assists in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment Assists the anesthesiologist/CRNA as necessary Documents all nursing care delivered in the operating room in the medical record Performs other nursing duties as assigned Maintains established center/departmental policies and procedures Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors and other center employees Participates in Quality Improvement activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and positive outcomes Understands and maintains assigned clinical competencies Required Skills: Current Florida Nursing License Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Minimum 2 year experience in an ASC/Hospital setting preferred. Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors. Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families. Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to the operating room. Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
