The House Nursing Supervisor works closely with all departments, Medical Staff, and Administration to maximize the use of the hospitals' resources to provide quality patient care. Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred. A minimum of two (4) years experience acute care nursing practice that includes sufficient clinical and management experience to ensure competence. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina Ability to read, write and speak the English language; Inter- and intra-departmental coordination of patient care activities; Computer skills required; Demonstrated expertise related to the following required: commitment to the advancement of nursing practice and the nursing profession, interpersonal communication skills related to knowledge of group/system dynamics, commitment to staff education and development; Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in North Carolina Nurse Practice Act. This job poses the potential of occupational exposure to anesthetic gases, blood and body fluids, sharps, hospital grade cleaning solutions, flammable solutions; Work schedule may vary/fluctuate dependent on unit needs.
