POSITION SUMMARY: Provides clinical consultation and support for complex wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence. Ensures evidence-based practices, manages wound care programs, and collaborates with healthcare teams for patient education.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current NM nursing license, BLS, and preferred specialty certification in wound care. SKILLS: Excellent communication, teaching, and problem-solving skills; ability to develop interdisciplinary collaboration; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. EXPERIENCE: Two years of acute care experience with complex wounds and ostomies. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: Reports to the Director of Wound Care and other nursing supervisors.
ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and varying situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to handle emergencies, prolonged standing/walking, and manual dexterity.
