Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures. Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and post-operative care.
Perform physical examinations and assist with diagnostic tests as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, including sterile processing techniques.
Support patients with ostomy care and other specialized nursing procedures.
Participate in patient rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred; experience in pediatrics or nursing home settings is a plus.
Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center operations is desirable.
Knowledge of hospital medicine practices and sterile processing standards.
Strong assessment skills, including the ability to perform sonography when required.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in nursing care.
Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract
Pay: $62.17 - $67.23 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
