Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive nursing services to patients with various medical and surgical needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery.

Duties
Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients to determine their health status.
Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient conditions, responding promptly to any emergencies.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
Provide ostomy care and support for patients recovering from surgical procedures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on health management, post-operative care, and rehabilitation processes.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in trauma medicine protocols as needed, particularly in emergency situations.
Offer specialized care for geriatric patients, addressing their unique health challenges.

Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Trauma medicine: Ability to assess and manage trauma cases effectively.
Vital signs: Skilled in accurately measuring and interpreting vital signs.
Geriatrics: Knowledgeable about the specific needs of elderly patients.
Anatomy knowledge: Strong understanding of human anatomy relevant to patient care.
Infection control: Familiarity with best practices for preventing infections in clinical settings.
Ostomy care: Experience providing care for patients with ostomies.
Nursing home experience: Background working in nursing home or long-term care settings is preferred.
Physical examinations: Competence in performing comprehensive physical assessments.
ICU experience: Familiarity with intensive care unit protocols is advantageous.
Travel nursing: Willingness to travel for assignments as needed.
