Purpose of this position
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and oversee all functions of the MDS and resident care assessment process to assure compliance with Federal and State requirements, and to certify timely completion of MDS assessments. Must be committed to person-centered care by embracing and following the facilitys goal of person-centered care by demonstrating and being supportive of individual resident choice and controlled resident-preferred routines in all aspect of daily living. Qualifications
Currently licensed in the State as a professional registered nurse (RN).
Self-motivated, self-directed with leadership skills.
Ability to read and write, speak and understand English.
Ability to make oral presentations to groups and have effective writing and communication skills.
Ability to tactfully deal with facility personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc.
Meet all health requirements imposed by law.
Experience in long-term care gerontology and/or rehabilitation.
Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
