Description:
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Director CCU and Emergency Services
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Drag Edit Delete Documents patient care given. Drag Edit Delete Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Drag Edit Delete Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Drag Edit Delete Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Drag Edit Delete Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Drag Edit Delete Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Qualifications:

Required SkillsAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended on hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
