Overlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Case Manager to support our inpatient units. This position is responsible for initial medical necessity review for level of care, as well as facilitating the patient's hospitalization from arrival through discharge. The Case Manager interfaces with Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, Payers, and other healthcare team members to expedite medically appropriate, cost-effective care.
Qualifications:- Associate degree in nursing required. Bachelors or Masters degree in nursing preferred.
- Current Washington State license as a Registered Nurse required. Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification preferred.
- Five years acute care nursing experience required.
- Prior case management, utilization management, and/or payer experience required.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, physicians, and payors.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.
