Title: Strategic Sourcing - Pressing & Fabrication

Key Responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for leading the development & execution of sourcing strategies for Global sourcing & prop mech commodity at River.
  • Responsible for delivering improvements to key sourcing metrics to include Quality Performance, Fulfillment (OTD & Lead Time), and Cost (Deflation, Product Cost Out, Cash/Net Pay Terms)
  • Develop negotiations strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives in accordance with the strategy, drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management.
  • Drive Sourcing initiatives including growing shared supplier spend, best cost country (BCC), productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, lean & pull production, and cash flow improvement
  • Works with supply chain analysts to develop strategies for optimizing cost and pricing. Build out and maintain cost models. Also maintain cadence in audits and cost history through the supply chain.
  • Interface with functional leads and founders' to understand business priorities and determine appropriate commodity growth strategies

Ideal Candidate:


  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or Supply chain Management is preferred.
  • 12+ years of strong experience within the Pressing & fabrication commodity Management ( preferably in 2 Wheeler Automotive )
  • Has Extensive experience interfacing with strategic suppliers and managing relationships
  • Excellent communication skills and people skills
  • Excellent leadership and man- management skills. Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
