Risk Management (Corporate Shared Services)
The Risk Management group plays a key role in protecting the integrity, reputation, and financial stability of our professional services firm. Focused on projects that shape the built environment, the team proactively identifies and manages risks across all phases of project delivery and business operations. By collaborating with project teams, leadership, legal counsel, and external partners, they ensure that contractual, operational, regulatory, and financial risks are effectively addressed. Summary
Support excellence and drive quality as a Risk Management Coordinator. You'll play a vital role in supporting our Risk and Administration teams to enhance productivity, reduce risk, and uphold the quality and values outlined in DOWL's company charter. In this full-time role, you'll assist with professional service contracts, insurance policies, and certificates of insurance. You'll also support facility management, business and professional licensing, and the use of enterprise systems to streamline risk and administrative workflows. From contributing to safety initiatives and quality audits to drafting reports that influence operational decisions, your work will help ensure the smooth and compliant functioning of our business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with the processing and review of professional service contracts and subcontracts.
- Supports the review and implementation of all general liability, workers compensation, and professional liability policies.
- Processes Certificate of Insurance requests, interact with broker to ensure timely delivery. Support annual Certificate of Insurance renewal process.
- Assists with managing facilities including working with Office Managers on records retention, lease tracking, operations and maintenance, etc.
- Assists with the management of DOWL's business and professional licensing.
- Assists with the use of DOWL's Enterprise Management and Risk Information Management Systems in the workflow of risk, safety, administrative, and quality tasks.
- Supports DOWL's quality programs including Operational Excellence (OpEx), internal project quality audit management, ISO 9001, and others as needed.
- Drafts and delivers reports and presentations outlining findings, identifying and explaining potential risks, and recommending solutions.
- Supports DOWL safety program and committee on implementation of company initiatives.
- Ensures and/or facilitates adequate communication concerning key risks.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Post secondary education preferred plus two years of increased responsibility in business administration, required
- Demonstrated ability to work with other professionals and peers to problem solve and achieve team goals, required.
- Experience within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must show an interest and progress in completing company sponsored industry risk management courses within 12-18 months of hire date.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
