OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:
Assists with the design and implementation of a comprehensive risk assessment program to evaluate, identify and monitor compliance and operational risks within multiple business units. Contributes to the preparation of the risk assessments by investigating and analyzing business unit processes, procedures, and internal controls. Additionally, this position will support the Compliance Management System (CMS) Program by providing an initial review of new and/or modified product/service assessments and offer feedback to the Vice President/Risk Officer before final communication is provided to the appropriate business unit(s).

Pay range for this hourly position is $33.31 - $38.94/hr with a progressive benefit package.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but arenot limited to those listed and are subject to change:

- Assists with the design and implementation of a comprehensive risk assessment program to evaluate, identify and monitor compliance and operational risks within multiple business units throughout the Credit Union.
- Provides support for the Vice President/Risk Officer during compliance and operational business unit risk assessments and/or evaluations. May collect and analyze documentation, statistics, reports and market trends, to monitor the effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, programs, underwriting criteria, business workflows and business systems.
- Contributes to the preparation of risk assessments, evaluations and reports.
- Participate in meetings with internal partners to discuss risk assessment results and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist with the review of new or revised products and services assessments, as part of the Compliance Management System Change Management process.
- Works collaboratively with internal business units to review and approve access requests, changes to monetary limits and changes to permission levels to key Credit Union core systems.
- Assists Vice President/Risk Officer on various projects as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification in related field and a minimum of three years of financial industry experience with a credit union or bank in a compliance/risk related role.
- Knowledge of regulatory, state, federal and agency rules, regulations and requirements.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently and collaborate when needed.
- Ability, availability, and willingness to work additional hours as demanded by the workload.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and process paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work with multiple priorities and to work under and meet deadlines.
- Ability to solve problems independently and maintain control in high stress situations.
- Ability to operate related computer applications.
- Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with employees, members, co-workers and vendors in a professional manner.
- Effective and strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use a personal computer and related software including Word, Excel, and other software as required.
- Must be bondable.
Reporting RelationshipReports to the Vice President/Risk Officer.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
