Job Summary:

We are seeking a Legal Records Clerk with a background in legal documentation and file management. This temporary role requires a detail-oriented individual with prior experience in handling legal records or a paralegal background. The position involves retrieving, delivering, filing, creating, and updating legal records on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with physical work such as walking, lifting, and standing throughout the shift.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve, deliver, file, and update physical legal records daily.
  • Maintain proper organization and confidentiality of legal files.
  • Create and manage legal documents according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal staff to ensure timely access to documents.
  • Perform clerical duties including tracking, labeling, and logging files.
  • Utilize a dolly or cart to transport large quantities of files when necessary.
  • Follow internal protocols and security measures related to legal documentation.
Required Skills:
  • Experience handling legal records or working in a legal office setting.
  • Paralegal background or training preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in a legal firm or records management department.
  • Familiarity with legal filing systems and documentation procedures.

Certifications:

None required, but a paralegal certificate is a plus.
