Central Texas Rheumatology Opportunity
Client is located in Central TX.
Between Dallas and Austin
They are the ONLY Rheum practice in the area. They have a patient drawing area.
Closest group is about 45 minutes away
The average RHEUM office has patients but this group has 4500 patients. Waiting list was 6 months so now they only see patients by referral only.
Referring docs office sends the records over with explanation on why they want the patient seen. If the group thinks it s liget such as a case of lupus, rheum. Arthiritis etc then the front office books the appointment, the group doesn t see Osteo Arthritis cases, the Orthopods handle that
They literally reject 4-10 referrals a week
Succession plan being worked on for future
Client owns an Infusion service
They have state of the art bone density machine, infusion room, they run clinical trials and research . Doc can participate in all of this. Client also teaches at nearby FP residency program, 12 students per year and most rotate through office for rheum experience
New doc will have 2 months of new patients before he/she walks through the door.
