Job Title: RHAPSODY Developer (100% Remote) - State of South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH)
Location: 100% Remote (Must work EST hours)
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM EST (Flexible start between 7 & 9 AM; finish between 4 & 6 PM). Occasional after-hours/weekend support may be required.
About the Role: The
South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a
highly skilled RHAPSODY Developer to support critical systems used in
public health, disease surveillance, and lab reporting. This role involves
building, maintaining, and optimizing Rhapsody-based integrations to enhance public health data systems.
This is a 100% remote position -you can work from anywhere as long as you are available during
EST hours.
Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and troubleshoot Rhapsody-based integrations for Electronic Case Reporting (eCR), Electronic Laboratory Reporting (ELR), and CDC data modernization initiatives.
- Build and optimize data routes, interfaces, and monitoring systems for improved data processing and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, IT professionals, and vendors to ensure efficient and compliant integrations.
- Perform gap analysis, requirements gathering, code reviews, testing, validation, and deployment.
- Ensure maximum system uptime and business continuity for critical components.
- Modernize legacy systems by converting them into Rhapsody routes and logic.
- Provide technical advice, mentorship, and best practices enforcement.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation and architecture diagrams.

Required Certifications: - Rhapsody Certification (Indicate certification level on resume).
Required Education: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field OR equivalent work experience.
