About the Team: Our Supply Chain and Logistics team mission is to provide top notch service to our stores and purchasing teams- contributing to the goal to make Grocery Outlet the first choice for bargain minded customers while touching lives for the better. Our team oversees the successful movement of products from our vendors to our stores and is self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated.
About the Role: The RFC Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of Grocery Outlet (GOI) Distribution Centers daily operations which includes the distribution, transportation, and inventory teams. This role will be responsible for administrative duties such as ordering supplies, coordinating maintenance and replacement of operational equipment, and event coordination. Additionally, they will facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding for all new hourly employees. This role will be the first point of contact for all guests entering the facility during normal business hours, and act as the liaison with external stakeholders. To be successful as an Administrative Support Specialist, you must be committed to creating a positive work environment with exceptional customer service. This role will have excellent organizational, people management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities Include: - Assist in managing staffing levels and handling all aspects of hiring temporary employees
- Manage reporting of operational KPIs, safety metrics, and labor efficiency/utilization metrics
- Acquire and maintain skills and knowledge necessary to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues for employees in the HRIS and WMS systems as directed by site leaders.
- Administer employee incentive programs, hourly payroll submission, and other employee timekeeping activities
- Lead DC hiring process, including onboarding, orientation, and required compliance training
- Track staffing report for P&L use through WMS and labor management systems
- Support company initiatives for process improvements for Distribution Centers and assist in implementation of process changes when appropriate
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Occasionally assists with load scheduling, and truck inbounding in the shipping/receiving offices
- Ability to perform general warehouse duties which may include moving, organizing, and restocking inventory and processing returns
- Function as primary employee support for benefits related questions
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings with supply chain leaders
- Complete all other job duties as assigned by operational leaders
About The Pay: - Base Salary Range: $16.00 - $20.00

About You: - Ability to work with very diverse groups of people at all levels of authority
- Ability to work in a complex organization that is fast-paced and constantly changing to meet current challenges. This position must function in this environment on a daily basis and react quickly to meet pressing needs
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with prospective employees in-person, through e-mail or over the phone
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Capable of maintaining policy and procedure documents and implementation
- Must have working experience using web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is required
- Must have adequate writing/speaking skills (English)
- 2+ years of experience as an operations admin, or in a similar role
- Project management and leadership experience a plus
- Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus
Physical Demands and Abilities: - Sitting for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands to type on a keyboard, handle documents, use a mouse, and operate other office equipment.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying light objects like files or folders.
- May need to reach for items on shelves or bend to retrieve documents from drawers.
