Our organization is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Revenue Accountant to join our Mortgage industry team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing revenue recognition, financial reporting, and financial analysis. This role is integral to our financial stability and requires a candidate who is comfortable with high levels of responsibility. The candidate must be familiar with all aspects of revenue accounting, oil and gas accounting, Excel, Quorum, and GL Accounting. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in these areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
2. Prepare and analyze financial reports, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
3. Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
4. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
5. Perform complex reconciliations and provide detailed explanations of variances.
6. Utilize Excel, Quorum, and other financial software to streamline accounting processes.
7. Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
8. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
9. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
10. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, oil and gas accounting, Excel, Quorum, and GL Accounting.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. High proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Strong organizational and planning skills.
