401K Specialist

About the Role:
A well-established financial firm is seeking a 401(k) Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert on retirement plan solutions. In this role, you'll work closely with the firm's leadership and advisory teams to design, implement, and manage 401(k) plans that meet clients' financial and compliance goals. Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with firm leadership on servicing existing retirement plan clients
• Manage key dates on the retirement plan calendar and ensure timely task completion (e.g., safe harbor notices, profit-sharing deadlines, new hire eligibility)
• Collaborate with third-party administrators (TPAs) on plan design for new clients
• Assist clients in gathering data for annual tax filings and liaising with TPAs
• Conduct benchmarking for new plans and business development opportunities
• Provide enrollment support to select client groups (virtually and/or in person)
• Advise on 401(k) design, compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities
• Conduct regular plan reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and optimization
• Stay up to date on ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations and industry best practices
• Support retirement plan proposals and presentations Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in 401(k) management or related financial services
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, client-friendly terms
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• FINRA Series 65/66 preferred but not required
• Certifications such as QKA, QKC, or CPFA are a plus
