Job Summary: The Retail Supervisor performs a variety of retail shop activities, including
operating the shop in an organized, efficient, and accurate manner; providing exemplary
customer service; processing transactions; tracking inventory; managing a team of Brand
Ambassadors and Mobile/eCommerce Coordinator, and maintaining an attractive and inviting
shopping environment.

Essential Functions:
1.Manages the opening and closing of the retail shop.
2.Supervises training, scheduling and performance of assigned Brand Ambassadors and
Mobile/eCommerce Coordinator.
3.Provides excellent customer service and high-quality services to all internal and external
customers by portraying a positive image of Girl Scouting.
4.Possesses expert knowledge of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to provide
merchandise information and product selection assistance.
5.Works with Manager, Retail to identify trends and to promote and stimulate the sale of
Girl Scout merchandise while meeting the needs of girls, parents, adult members, and
visitors.
6.Creates and maintains appealing displays, promotional signs and flyers so as to promote
and market the Council shop to increase annual gross sales and achieve established
benchmarks.

7. Has a strong attention to detail. Processes customer on-site, email, and mail-order sales
and returns, including processing cash, check, and credit card payments, and refunds in
accordance with council policies and procedures.
8.Ensure that merchandise orders, receipts, returns, credits, and payment paperwork are
completed in a timely manner. Report all delays.
9.Receives, inspects, counts, accepts inventory deliveries, bar codes product, and enters into
the point of sale (POS)/risk management system (RMS). Ensures that merchandise
orders, receipts, returns, credits, and payment paperwork are completed in a timely
manner. Report all delays.
10.Maintains and monitors inventory, and proposes orders for approval to Manager, Retail.
Reports discrepancies such as shipment shortages, backorders, and unauthorized
substitutions to both the shipping body and Manger, Retail. Processes returns to vendors
immediately; delivers packages to the appropriate area for mailing. Assists with preparing,
coordinating, counting, and processing annual and special inventories.
11.Ensures that bank deposits are deposited within 2 business days and follow procedures
and trains Brand Ambassadors on the policies and procedures.
12.Maintains a flexible work schedule to rotate coverage of retail operations including
evenings and Saturdays.
13.Participate in mobile events and Build a Bear events as needed.
14.Remains current with technology skills, specifically Salesforce, Looker, and POS software
platforms.

Other:

• Must work in-person at assigned locations. Must visit assigned stores on a regular basis;
Denton County twice every 6 weeks.

• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to coach and develop high-performance teams.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel.

• Proficient in Salesforce, Looker, and POS software platforms.

• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish and English).

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

• Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as
necessary.

• Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity,

• If applicable, must have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver's license and meet
GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• Associates degree or higher, or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience in retail sales, supervisor experience preferred.

• Demonstrated experience partnering with different departments.

• Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers,
the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact.

• Upon employment, employee must register as an adult member in the Girl Scout organization
and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

• Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable,
punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts,
before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.

• Must complete and pass a criminal background check.
