Your Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Store Manager who embraces GNC's "Live Well" philosophy-a commitment to health, fitness, and wellness that resonates with each customer's unique journey. You'll be a vital part of a dedicated team aimed at helping everyone achieve their personal best.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and motivate your team to deliver exceptional customer service and guidance.
- Oversee daily store operations, focusing on business performance, product management, and staff success.
- Ensure products are displayed according to GNC standards while remaining accessible to customers.
- Enhance the shopping experience through effective visual merchandising and current sales initiatives.
- Meet and exceed personal and team sales goals while providing mentorship to associates.
- Build strong, effective teams through recruiting, hiring, and continuous performance feedback.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory management.
- Participate in community events to promote GNC's mission and initiatives.
Work Environment & Schedule: - Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours daily.
- Regularly required to reach, bend, twist, and use hands/fingers in repetitive motions.
- Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 20 pounds.
- Work in varying temperatures, from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
- Utilize a computer for 60% of the workday.
Store Managers are expected to work 40 hours across five days per week, adhering to the following guidelines:
- Managers in shopping mall and strip center stores must work two weeknights until closing, one weekend night, and one other evening.
- Strip center managers must work a full shift on Saturdays.
- Mall managers should work peak business days, including weekends.
- All managers are required to work at least one full Sunday per month.
- Duties for downtown store managers include working lunch hours (11 AM to 2 PM) on weekdays and one evening shift.
- Managers must also be available to work major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
