Job Details: The Retail Sales Team Leader is pivotal to delivering the Mattress Firm vision, steering company initiatives, and achieving sales targets through effective team performance. You will be responsible for leading sales programs, driving key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring an integrated omni-channel experience. By prioritizing the customer experience, you'll cultivate a dynamic and enjoyable work environment for Mattress Firm team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive individual and team sales performance to meet KPIs.
- Mentor and coach staff in sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational tasks, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Create a customer-centric environment that guarantees exceptional experiences.
- Engage with field employees (Distribution Center, District Manager, Regional VP) to address immediate needs and concerns.
- Assist with staffing and hiring qualified candidates across multiple stores.
- Continue developing skills and product knowledge through training and company-led programs.
- Manage workforce activities, including staffing schedules and time reconciliation.
- Achieve or surpass financial targets for the store through excellent execution and service.
- Oversee product merchandising, marketing efforts, and adherence to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, appearance, functionality standards, and state regulations.
- Collaborate with marketing on social media strategies to boost brand awareness and sales.
