As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating an enjoyable shopping experience for customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising and stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining store cleanliness. You will actively collaborate with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50
Duties and Responsibilities: - Engage with customers and assist them throughout their shopping journey
- Process customer purchases and accurately handle transactions
- Maintain a well-organized store through regular cleaning and stocking of shelves
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies
- Follow cash policies to minimize losses and ensure accountability
- Adhere to all company policies while maintaining confidentiality
- Perform other tasks as required
Physical Demands: - Ability to stock merchandise efficiently, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds
- Frequently sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store
- Capable of performing duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team
- Capable of operating equipment safely, including hand jacks and cleaning tools
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively
- Must meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Retail experience is a plus
