Summary:

The Retail Operations Specialist will conduct Retail Channel internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required or six years directly related experience
  • Minimum three years Retail/Operations financial services experience required
  • Knowledge of Branch and back-office operations, policies, practices, protocols, systems and programs required
  • Ability to travel locally to Retail locations 30% of the time
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with various departments
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, takes initiative to tackle challenges
Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Compliance, BSA, Operations Risk, Internal Audit and other business support teams to identify risk exposure within the Retail Channel
  • Determines whether branches are performing in compliance with instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluates functions and activities in the retail channel to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives and recommends corrective actions and improvements
  • Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices
  • Supports Retail Operations Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory changes, NCUA audits and Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the dissemination and follow up of audit reports in collaboration with Operations Risk to ensure Retail Channel is in compliance
  • Contributes to the continuous effort of operational communications amongst the Retail Channel and other lines of business
  • Administer and review head count and overtime hours for compliance with applicable policy and procedure
  • Work with member-facing staff and back office departments to handle operational processes and exceptions
  • Provide training and support to ensure quality assurance across the Credit Union
  • Responsible for the design and creation of job aids or other materials to support desired organizational risk management framework and culture
  • Creates, deploys and maintains procedures, job aids and internal resources
  • Analyze and approve vendor invoices and inventory for the Retail Channel
  • Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is$24.50- $34.72 an hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
