OVERVIEW: DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic retail operations leader to assist in overseeing store operations.
The Retail Operations Leader will drive brand and operational excellence by ensuring our team delivers outstanding customer service. This role emphasizes coaching and development while focusing on financial metrics, store performance, and strategic planning.
- Manage daily operations of assigned store department.
- Organize short-term and long-term operational plans collaboratively with the Store Manager.
- Engage in community recruitment efforts and promote volunteer opportunities for teammates.
- Work with store leadership to hire a strong, diverse team and manage workforce planning, including scheduling and payroll budgets.
- Ensure team accountability for operational guidelines, customer service standards, and compliance with company policies.
- Reduce shrink by adhering to all safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling protocols.
- Communicate openly and creatively to foster an engaging environment for the team.
- Commit to coaching and development for oneself and others, integrating learning into daily leadership.
- Promote an inclusive atmosphere where everyone, teammates and customers alike, feels safe, respected, and valued.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years of management experience in retail or customer-focused roles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Targeted Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $83,600.00, with a competitive total rewards package that may include incentives and benefits. Individual pay is based on various factors including experience and location. We regularly review teammate pay to ensure competitiveness and equity.
