Job Description Pilot Flying J is looking for an experienced Retail Operations Assistant Manager to lead our bustling retail facilities. You will be responsible for developing and executing business plans for the travel center and restaurant to meet sales and profit goals, while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
As a Retail Operations Assistant Manager, your role will involve:
- Meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Conducting productive meetings with your team
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with vendors
In this leadership position, you will be integral in building, coaching, managing, and developing our teams, including responsibilities for staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training.

- Driving sales performance
- Overseeing team management
- Tracking inventory efficiently
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Conducting P&L analysis
Pay Rates Starting between: $41,700.00 - $60,460.00 / year
Qualifications To succeed as a Retail Operations Assistant Manager, you must demonstrate integrity and accountability, along with strong team leadership capabilities. Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, days, weekends, and holidays is vital.
Additional requirements include:
- 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or other service industries with financial accountability
- Previous management experience in high-volume retail, particularly with P&L responsibility
- A proven ability to foster a customer-focused culture
