Position Overview
Pilot Flying J is on the lookout for an experienced Retail Operations Assistant Manager to oversee our bustling retail facilities. You will play a crucial role in generating and executing business plans for the travel center and restaurant, aimed at achieving established sales, profit objectives, and customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities as a Retail Operations Assistant Manager will include:
  • Ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Conducting regular meetings with team members to foster communication and teamwork.
  • Building and maintaining effective vendor relationships.
In this role, you will also focus on:
  • Driving sales growth through team initiatives.
  • Managing and developing team members, including hiring, interviewing, and training.
  • Tracking inventory levels to optimize stock management.
  • Providing exceptional customer service experiences.
  • Conducting P&L analysis to inform business decisions.
We offer competitive pay starting between $56,485.00 - $89,100.00 per year, along with opportunities for short-term monthly incentives.

Qualifications
As a Retail Operations Assistant Manager, you must demonstrate integrity and accountability at the managerial level, as well as possess outstanding team leadership skills. Flexibility is key, as this role requires availability for nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

To be considered, you should have:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or service industries with responsibility for financial outcomes.
  • Previous experience managing high-volume retail operations with P&L accountability.
  • The ability to develop and maintain a customer-focused culture.
