Job Summary: The Loan Processor will be responsible for the processing of residential loan requests by performing the necessary functions to process the loan and submit to underwriting and closing within acceptable time frames following established policies and procedures. The Loan Processor will need to effectively communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, closers, and third-party providers throughout the process.
Essential Functions: - Review and organize new loan files from Retail Loan Opener and Branch Lenders.
- Order and follow-up on necessary third-party services within established time frames including, but not limited to appraisal, title, flood, employment and mortgage verifications.
- Input and submit for approval for third party services including Private Mortgage Insurance and other secondary market sources.
- Collect and verify required documentation and update the LOS.
- Provide updated disclosures as needed to customers.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with all involved parties.
- Submit file for review and decision by Retail Loan Underwriter
- Follow-up on loans in process and cycle as needed on additional conditions.
- Utilize loan origination system and other tracking mechanisms to manage pipeline daily to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.
- Process loans to meet Investor and bank guidelines, as well as bank policies and procedures including regulatory compliance.
- Back-up and support for other Loan Processors as needed

Skills, Experience, and Training Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of one year of banking experience.
Strong computer skills including a fundamental understanding of MS applications and lending software.
General understanding of investor guidelines, bank policies and procedures, and regulatory loan regulations.
Ability to know how to read, execute and comply to today's loan disclosure requirements.
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize daily tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable.
Minimal physical effort required.
Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis.
