Job DescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE: Ensures all Scanning Operational procedures are executed in a manner complying with the Company's Scan and Scale Accuracy Policy, maintaining retail integrity in all stores. Mentors Store Scan Coordinators/File Maintenance Clerks to develop and train all departments in maintaining operational excellence in retail integrity that maximizes sales and profits. Responsible for compliance to company policies, procedures and applications in scan operations. Creates store teams focused on Retail Integrity to comply with Customer Service initiatives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Ensures all Scanning Operational procedures are executed in a manner complying with the Company's Scan and Scale Accuracy Policy, maintaining retail integrity in all stores.
- Ensures the execution of all retail integrity programs in stores per the direction of the Store Support Center Retail Integrity guidelines.
- Understands the impact of Retail Integrity to Company profitability, using the tools available; POS and Host Pricing Files, Marketing Analytics.
- Develops relationships with stores and division pricing staff to guarantee effective two-way communication to share opportunities that can be addressed to improve efficiencies,
- Understands and coordinates processes through Sales Management Team that need to be supported to ensure store level compliances in all programs.
- Reviews weekly ads prior to the ad start date and follows outlined guidelines to address and correct issues prior to start of the ad, and follows up with stores to be sure issues are corrected in stores in a timely manner
- Mentors Scan Coordinators/File Maintenance Clerk to develop and train all Store level department associates in maintaining operational excellence in retail integrity that maximize sales and profits.
- Coachs, trains and develops qualified Lead Scan Coordinators/File Maintenance Clerks to assist in developing and sharing best practices to help all stores
- Work with Division Retail Integrity Manager to develop and Coordinate retail integrity programs
- Communicates, trains and verifies compliance with programs in stores for maintaining pricing and sale requirements; to ensure compliancy with local, state, and federal retail pricing standards.

- Performs related duties as requested by Division Retail Integrity Manager at the Corporate and Division Store Support Center and partners with other functional areas.
- Assists as needed with requests from IT Services for the installation of all store system equipment within the Division.
- Comprehends tax laws and communicates and coordinates changes including special holiday exemptions.
- Ensures all State Weights and Measure compliance audits are reviewed and follow up visits are done if opportunities are found. Helps to identify opportunities and work with Store Director/Store Teams to develop action plans to rectify deficiencies.
- Communicates and works closely with District Managers and Operation Specialists to assist with execution of programs, and follows up with any reported issues during their store visits
- Shares Best Practices found during store visits with Division Retail Integrity Team to improve store level execution of programs
- Conducts regular store visits in assigned districts, focusing on being a resource to improve store operations.
- Educates store teams on what Retail Integrity entails and how it impacts store sales and profitability. This includes monitoring Exception Report and Markdown Link totals
- Works with Store Management teams to establish and train effective store scan teams dedicated to maintaining Retail Integrity. This includes monitoring tag counts and hours used to improve effectiveness and efficiency of store teams.
- Communicates corporate Marketing and Promotional programs to store front end teams
- Reviews compliance of company policies and governmental agency regulations at store level and addresses any opportunities that are found
- Ensures store compliance with required audits including, but not limited to the Weights and Measures Random Audit and Corporate Internal Retail Integrity Audits. Reviews results with the key store personnel and recaps key division personnel. Provides assistance to correct deficient conditions.
- Reviews metrics on compliancy execution from division management relevant to assigned stores and takes steps to resolve.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:Education Level: - Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or at least 5 years' experience in retail store operations preferred.
Experience Level: - Previous experience in retail store operations with a strong background in scan coordination procedures and methods, preferably with a Retail Scanning Company.
Skills and Experiences: - Possess a good understanding of Point-of-Sale systems, electronic data processing, accounting and general business procedures and practices.
- Must have a good understanding of Company scanning and price maintenance support application systems and practices.
- Possess excellent communication skills, including oral and written plus the ability to speak effectively before groups. Must be able to interface effectively with a wide variety of personnel. Possess ability to communicate concepts, systems, procedures, etc., in a training environment.
- Possess leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve desired results by providing direct dialog and personnel evaluations.
- Possess good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work and coordinate multiple projects throughout the business day.
- Requires analytical ability and mental alertness to ensure accurate and thorough completion of work activities as well as for data interpretation and analysis. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions with ability to prioritize necessary tasks
- Possess excellent Personal Computer Skills (Microsoft Programs: Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Internet).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% travel
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: - Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
