The selected candidate will primarily work at Store , located at: 140 Hickman Road, Waukee, IA 50263, and may also serve at other stores within the Des Moines Metro area.
This is a Full-Time position with a starting pay of $18/hr, or based on relevant experience.
As a vital member of our team, the Retail Customer Service Representative is essential to the success of our retail operations. You will engage directly with both wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs, answering inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and offering tailored solutions. Your role will also involve addressing customer concerns promptly to ensure an exceptional customer experience while staying knowledgeable about product features and maintaining store standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Assisting customers both in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Accurately processing sales transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Meeting and exceeding sales goals on a regular basis.
- Maintaining precise work order files and mixing necessary products to customer specifications.
- Stocking shelves, setting up displays, and ensuring the store environment is clean and organized.
- Loading/unloading delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries, as required.
- Staying informed on product offerings and sharing insights with customers.
- Complying with inventory control procedures and suggesting sales improvements.
Minimum Requirements: - Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Authorized to work in the country without requiring employment visa sponsorship.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Able to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
- Experience selling paint and related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
- Proficiency in a second language, especially Spanish, is desirable.
