This position plays a crucial role in the success of our retail stores. As a Retail Customer Service Expert, you will engage closely with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and suggest the best solutions. Your goal is to resolve customer concerns quickly and ensure maximum satisfaction while staying informed about product features to maintain high quality and visual standards in the store.

Your responsibilities include achieving exceptional customer service while consistently meeting sales goals.

The work location will be around a 15-mile radius of Store , at: 6262 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124.

This is a full-time position with a hiring rate of $15.25/hr.

As a Retail Customer Service Expert, you will interact with customers, including minors, and handle cash and payment methods, along with other valuable items, either under supervision or independently. Therefore, a review of criminal history is necessary to protect our business, customers, and employees.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Assist customers both in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Build meaningful relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Accurately process sales transactions following company policies.
  • Meet and achieve sales goals across different timelines.
  • Maintain organized work orders and product formulas.
  • Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tint and mix products according to customer specifications.
  • Restock shelves and set attractive displays.
  • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of store equipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
  • Support with deliveries when necessary.
  • Keep assigned areas stocked and visually appealing.
  • Stay knowledgeable about product offerings and available options.
  • Adhere to inventory control procedures.
  • Propose improvements for sales performance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Availability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
  • Prior experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
