This role is vital for the success of our retail operations. As a Retail Customer Service Associate, you will collaborate with both wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, address their inquiries about our Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the best solutions. You will be instrumental in resolving customer concerns promptly, ensuring maximum client satisfaction, and keeping up-to-date with the features of our products. Maintaining the high quality and visual standards of our store is equally important.

Your mission includes achieving outstanding customer service while consistently meeting the store's sales goals.

This position involves direct contact with customers, including minors, and provides access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, and valuable store merchandise. Therefore, a review of criminal history is necessary to protect our business operations and ensure the safety of our customers and employees.

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service.
  • Assisting customers in identifying their needs and presenting suitable products.
  • Building trust relationships with wholesale and retail clients.
  • Accurately processing sales transactions following company policies.
  • Aiming to achieve sales goals on a regular basis.
  • Maintaining detailed work order files and formulas.
  • Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tinting and mixing products to customer specifications.
  • Stocking shelves and setting up displays.
  • Cleaning store equipment.
  • Loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed.
  • Maintaining order and presentation in assigned areas.
  • Remaining knowledgeable about products and discussing benefits with customers.
  • Following inventory control procedures.
  • Recommending strategies to enhance sales.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver's License is required.
  • Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs on occasion.
  • Availability to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
  • Prior experience selling paint and paint-related products is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a preferred qualification.
