This role is crucial for the success of our retail operations. As a Retail Customer Service Advisor, you will engage directly with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer their inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and provide tailored recommendations. Your primary goal will be to resolve customer concerns swiftly and ensure maximum satisfaction while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product features and high visual and quality standards of the store.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to achieve satisfied clients.
  • Engaging with customers both in-store and over the phone to identify their needs and suggest suitable products and services.
  • Building trusting relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Processing sales transactions with accuracy, following company policies.
  • Meeting sales targets consistently on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintaining organized work order files and product formulas.
  • Retrieving products from floor shelves or the warehouse as needed.
  • Tinting and mixing products to customer specifications.
  • Ensuring store displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Performing cleaning duties for store equipment.
  • Handling loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
  • Assisting in deliveries when required.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of assigned areas.
  • Staying knowledgeable about the products offered to effectively discuss options with customers.
  • Following inventory control procedures.
  • Providing suggestions to enhance sales performance.
This position involves interaction with customers, including minors, and access to cash and valuable items, necessitating a review of criminal history to ensure safety for customers, staff, and the public.

Work will be performed at Store , located at: 3192 US Highway 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally 70 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
  • Experience in selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
