US FOODS strategy: Great Food, Made Easy. As a valued team member, you'll assume various roles, including Cashier, Stocker, and Customer Service, embodying our core value that
YOU MATTER. Your diverse duties will adapt based on customer and business needs.
- Assist customers on the sales floor across departments like Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply.
- Replenish stock and rotate products effectively.
- Support special store events, such as Vendor Fairs and inventory processes.
Essential Duties: - Front End: Ensure every customer enjoys a fantastic CHEF'STORE experience by building strong relationships. Complete transactions efficiently and accurately, verifying product details and preventing tampering.
- Sales Floor and Stocking: Stay focused on increasing sales and managing inventory shrinkage. Help customers find needed products and keep shelves stocked and organized. Ensure a tidy presentation of merchandise.
- Customer Courtesy: Maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers. Regularly collect carts and ensure cleanliness throughout the store.
Preferred Skills: - Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Strong common sense, logical thinking, and basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team while multi-tasking.
- Basic computer skills and cash handling experience are a plus.
Physical Requirements: - Capability to stand and walk for prolonged periods with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally more.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and push/pull as needed, ensuring effective task completion.
