As an important member of our team, you will take on various roles, including cashier, stocker, and customer service representative, while demonstrating a passion for service in every aspect of your performance. Depending on business needs, your assignments will vary, ensuring our customers receive the best support.
- Assist on the sales floor in departments such as Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply.
- Restock and rotate products across departments.
- Help during special events like Vendor Fairs, inventory processes, and store resets.
Essential Duties: Front End Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional customer experiences by fostering strong relationships with shoppers.
- Utilize skills learned in training to model positive behaviors in the store.
- Handle sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including scanning merchandise and weighing products as needed.
- Ensure accurate product pricing and report any discrepancies.
- Perform cart-to-cart transfers and verify purchased items as customers exit.
- Manage opening and closing responsibilities at the front end based on assigned shifts.
Sales Floor and Stocking Responsibilities: - Focus on increasing sales and reducing shrinkage while assisting customers in product selection.
- Receive and stock inventory, maintaining organized shelves and proper product rotation.
- Label all merchandise appropriately, including applying catch weight labels.
- Replenish stock daily and ensure products are accessible and visually appealing.
- Work with team members on price changes and assist in store operations.
Customer Service Responsibilities: - Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and staff, adhering to safety policies.
- Report and address any safety issues promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness of sales floors, front areas, and restrooms.
- Gather shopping carts and ensure they are clean and in working order.
- Additional duties as assigned by Store Management.
Work Environment: - Work in a retail store setting, exposed to varying weather conditions and typical noise levels.
- Physical work will require standing and walking for extended periods, with lift requirements ranging from light to heavy.
Minimum Qualifications: - 6-12 months of retail cashiering and/or stocking experience required.
- At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
Preferred Skills: - Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and support colleagues.
- Strong common sense and logical thinking with basic math skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of multitasking.
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills and cash handling experience necessary.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, and lifting.
