Job Description:

Join our dynamic Store Development team as a Retail Associate Interior Designer. In this innovative role, you will be instrumental in creating exceptional retail experiences through design, construction, and project management for both new constructions and renovations. This position involves working on significant Domestic and Global projects, collaborating with various teams to deliver outstanding results.

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to support the Design Manager(s) and Vice President of Store Design throughout the project lifecycle-from initial site identification to design development, construction, and project openings. You will closely collaborate with Store Development, Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, and external consultants to bring our retail vision to life.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support Design Manager(s) and VP Store Design, focusing on a single brand.
  • Act as a key liaison between Store Development and internal business partners, facilitating meetings to review plans, project schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Review initial Real Estate transmittals to ensure accuracy and effective communication.
  • Assist Design Managers and Construction Project Managers with preliminary layouts.
  • Coordinate with architects and Store Design/Construction teams for REC approvals.
  • Compile the final Design Development package with the Real Estate planner, architects, and Design Manager for REC approval.
  • Maintain a design hot list for assigned projects and issue weekly reports with the Design Manager.
  • Help create presentation packages for Brand President meetings.
  • Track submittals for physical and digital files, including samples, drawing sets, and shop drawings related to assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Coordinator to manage online document storage for construction documents, shop drawings, renderings, and photos.
  • Monitor weekly site construction photos and keep communication open with business partners regarding progress.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks, including note-taking, distributing notes, and answering calls and inquiries.
  • Engage with Repairs and Maintenance teams for established brands.
  • Some travel may be required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Experience or knowledge in retail design, construction, and scheduling is preferred.
  • A degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and the Office suite.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of design.
  • A passion for innovation in design.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40 - $50/hour, influenced by various factors, including education, relevant work experience, certifications, and location.
