Overview: As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will leverage your customer service and leadership skills to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership abilities by supporting store leaders with important tasks like recovery processes, customer outreach, and risk management. Your role will also involve training and coaching Customer Service Representatives, ensuring compliance, and upholding Company standards.
Responsibilities: - Provide an outstanding customer experience throughout the loan or pawn process by educating clients and providing tailored financial recommendations.
- Assist with account management and recovery efforts, including collection calls, while maintaining a customer-first approach to minimize account charge-offs and losses.
- Exceed Company performance standards by capitalizing on business partnerships, securing referrals, and coordinating in-store and community events.
- Develop strong customer relationships to foster new business opportunities and enhance store profitability, brand loyalty, and recognition.
- Offer support, coaching, and development to Customer Service Representatives to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Accurately maintain customer information within the point of sale (POS) system.
- Help maintain a compliant work environment in alignment with Company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure office security and effectively manage opening and closing procedures, including vault management, cash drawers, and bank deposits.
- Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, addressing basic facility needs and scheduling maintenance services as required.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities efficiently while meeting personal and team performance standards.
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and Team Members effectively.
- Commit to a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, including some Saturday hours. A typical work week comprises a minimum of 40 hours.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 3 months of relevant supervisory or leadership experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail settings.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a personal vehicle during work hours (mileage will be compensated).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with phone systems, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
- Background check is required, conducted in accordance with applicable law.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, which include remaining stationary for extended periods, moving and lifting up to 25 pounds, navigating the store, and operating keyboard controls.
Preferred Qualifications: - Associate degree or higher is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus and may be required for certain locations.
