Job Description

Pilot Flying J is looking for a dynamic Retail Assistant Manager to oversee our fast-paced retail operations. Your main focus will be executing travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve our sales, profit, and customer satisfaction goals.

As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will:
  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Lead team meetings and effectively communicate with staff.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build, coach, manage, and develop your team through effective staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training practices.

Your additional responsibilities will include:
  • Driving sales growth.
  • Managing and mentoring team members.
  • Monitoring and tracking inventory levels.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conducting P&L analysis to guide decision-making.
Compensation

Pay rates start between: $51,000.00 - $73,910.00 per year.

Qualifications

As a Retail Assistant Manager, you should exemplify integrity and accountability, coupled with strong team leadership skills. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Additional qualifications include:
  • 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or other service industries, with a focus on financial results.
  • Previous experience managing high-volume retail operations with P&L accountability.
  • A commitment to fostering a customer-focused culture.
