ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will:
- Lead the store team in delivering outstanding customer service to both retail and professional clients.
- Supervise customer service standards and ensure team members execute customer service programs effectively.
- Work alongside the Store Manager to guarantee the retail sales counter is well-staffed during peak business hours.
- Assist in setting team member goals, providing constructive feedback, and coaching to enhance their performance and training.
- Participate in the hiring process, including recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating on hiring decisions.
- Ensure exceptional phone service as per company policy.
- Oversee the timely processing of buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders while keeping customers informed.
- Manage special orders and outside purchases using the electronic outside purchase order ledger efficiently.
- Facilitate efficient and friendly processing of retail customer returns, exchanges, and merchandise management.
- Confirm all merchandise transactions are invoiced accurately before products leave the store.
- Communicate team messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies and scheduling protocols.
- Perform store opening and closing duties, including cash handling and securing premises.
- Assist in the maintenance of the store environment and equipment.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Completion of Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
DESIRED: - Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
