Join our dynamic team as a Retail Assistant Manager, where you will work collaboratively with the Store Manager to drive sales, enhance customer service, and maintain an inviting store appearance. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will confidently oversee store operations and lead the team to deliver exceptional service to our valued customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and inspire team members to provide outstanding customer service to both retail and professional customers.
Monitor customer service standards in the retail showroom, ensuring all team members are executing customer service programs effectively.
Assist the Store Manager in staffing the retail sales counter adequately, particularly during peak hours of business.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to set clear goals for team members, offering constructive feedback, coaching, and ensuring continuous training.
Ensure telephone inquiries are handled promptly and professionally according to company policy.
Oversee the processing of online orders and timely communication with customers regarding shipment arrivals.
Utilize the electronic purchase order ledger for efficient handling of special orders and outside purchases.
Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, ensuring accurate refunds and proper merchandise staging.
Confirm all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store, including core charges and warranties.
Communicate internal company messages effectively and ensure merchandising tasks are executed promptly.
Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, including compliance with work schedules and timekeeping procedures.
Carry out store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, security checks, and maintaining the building's safety.
Assist in the upkeep of the store's physical appearance, including the parking lot, signage, equipment, and vehicles.
Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Mandatory: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification
Preferred: Certified Parts Professional Certification and ASE Certification
