Overview: As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will be a crucial resource for customers seeking fast and dependable financial solutions. In this role, you will enhance your leadership abilities in real-time by spearheading recovery processes, customer engagement, and risk management. Additionally, you will support the training and coaching of customer service representatives when needed, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence in the workplace. Responsibilities:
  • Build strong customer relationships and execute daily inbound and outbound call campaigns to drive new business, support store profitability, and enhance brand loyalty.
  • Facilitate customer success by recommending additional products that align with their needs.
  • Evaluate the risk of financial transactions and process loan/pawn applications, check cashing transactions, and related services accurately.
  • Provide coaching and development to customer service representatives to ensure high-quality service and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain strict office security protocols and oversee proper opening and closing procedures, including managing the vault and cash drawer.
  • Lead account management and recovery efforts, including collection calls, while ensuring a focus on customer service to minimize losses.
  • Ensure the team complies with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations by conducting store audits and generating financial reports.
  • Monitor and uphold the store's appearance, ensuring cleanliness and addressing maintenance needs as they arise.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively to meet both individual and team performance goals.
  • Commit to a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, including weekends, equating to a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
  • Minimum of 3 months of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize phone systems, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other software.
  • Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
  • A background check is required.
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Management background in retail, convenience store, grocery, financial, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply, especially for specific locations.
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance are preferred, with personal vehicle use during work hours.
