Overview: As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will be a key resource for customers seeking dependable financial solutions. Our Retail Assistant Managers sharpen their leadership abilities in real-time by managing recovery processes, engaging in customer outreach, and overseeing risk management. You will play a pivotal role in training and guiding customer service representatives while ensuring compliance with Company standards. Your meticulous attention to detail and adherence to procedures will foster a professional and respectful environment for our customers and team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strong customer relationships and execute daily inbound and outbound call campaigns to drive new business, enhance store profitability, and promote brand loyalty.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by recommending ancillary products tailored to their needs.
  • Evaluate financial transactions, accurately process loan/pawn applications, check cashing transactions, and ancillary products while assessing risks.
  • Support and mentor Customer Service Representatives to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are upheld.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols, efficient opening and closing procedures, and manage the vault and cash drawer responsibly.
  • Oversee account management and recovery efforts, including collection calls, while emphasizing customer service to mitigate losses.
  • Ensure adherence to Company policies, procedures, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations by conducting store audits and compiling financial reports.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting store environment, addressing facility needs and coordinating maintenance services.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and effectively manage multiple tasks to achieve personal and team performance goals.
  • Commit to a full-time schedule with in-person attendance requirements, including weekends, comprising a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
  • At least three months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operating phones, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
  • Background checks are mandatory and will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for up to 90% of the time, moving up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls like a keyboard.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in a leadership role within customer service or sales.
  • Management background in retail, financial services, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus and may be required for certain locations.
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance, along with a personal vehicle for business use (mileage compensated).
