The Retail and Recreation Supervisor supports the daily operations of Red Mountain Outfitters while assisting the Recreation Department with administrative functions, scheduling, and guest activity coordination.

Responsibilities- Supervise the daily operations of Red Mountain Outfitters, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient retail management
- Assist guests with merchandise selections, upsell resort gear, and promote seasonal product offerings
- Oversee visual merchandising, product placement, and stock organization to reflect resort standards
- Manage inventory tracking, restocking, and assist with monthly inventory counts
- Process guest transactions accurately, handle POS systems, and ensure proper cash handling procedures
- Train, supervise, and coach retail associates, ensuring consistent guest experience delivery
- Assist the Recreation Department with guest activity sign-ups, scheduling, and daily administrative tasks
- Prepare recreation rosters, waivers, and communication materials for daily hikes, fitness classes, and special events
- Support recreation guest service desk during peak activity periods or staffing shortages
- Coordinate with guides and instructors to confirm schedules, guest counts, and special requests
- Communicate effectively with guests about recreation offerings, changes, or cancellations
- Help track recreation equipment inventory and report maintenance needs
Qualifications- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail sales, guest services, or recreation coordination
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Experience supervising staff or leading small teams preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic administrative software
- Knowledge of outdoor adventure, recreation, wellness, or fitness activities a plus
- High attention to detail, with a guest-first attitude
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and resort peak periods
