As a
Retail and Attractions Team Leader, you will create memorable experiences for families by overseeing daily retail and attractions operations. This important leadership position is key to implementing business strategies, supporting the team, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise daily operations of retail and attractions, including gift shops, arcades, and vending, to ensure alignment with safety and service standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching and recognition to team members to foster a positive work environment.
- Understand and uphold company policies, collaborating with leadership on performance management within the department.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating feedback to management when needed.
- Ensure effective communication regarding guest requests and concerns to the right departments.
- Participate in staff scheduling and labor management to optimize workforce efficiency.
- Conduct daily meetings with team members to set priorities and gather their input.
- Monitor team performance and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
- Maintain organized and adequately stocked retail outlets and attractions, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in recruiting top talent for retail and attractions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop guest service and team engagement action plans.
- Involve in employee performance management, including reviews and conflict resolution.
- Ensure the quality of the operation by maintaining inventory levels and addressing equipment issues as necessary.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring safety programs following regulations for ergonomics, emergency responses, and injury prevention.
- Follow all standard operating procedures relevant to this role.
Basic Qualifications - High School diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong ability in customer service, conflict resolution, and team building.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications - Associate's degree or higher in hospitality or a related field.
- Prior experience in a retail or hospitality leadership position.
- Experience in a large family resort or hotel setting is a plus.
Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Capable of standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stretch, and twist as needed.
