We are excited to welcome a Restaurant Manager to our team at Charter House located in the Bradley International Airport (BDL). This is an incredible opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced food environment while embracing a challenging and rewarding role.
Your Key Responsibilities: - Oversee Front of House and Kitchen Operations: Supervise and evaluate Team Member performance, providing constructive feedback and managing tasks through follow-ups.
- Prioritize Culinary Excellence: Ensure the highest food quality and standards while adhering to recipes and portion controls, alongside compliance with food safety specifications.
- Manage Costs Effectively: Strive to optimize food and labor costs, maximizing profitability for the restaurant.
- Lead and Inspire Your Team: Recruit, train, and communicate effectively with your team of Food Travel Experts. Develop and assign daily goals and tasks while promoting stellar guest service standards.
- Implement Systems and Procedures: Ensure adherence to company policies and state health/sanitation standards.
- Maintain Merchandising Standards: Oversee display presentations, merchandising standards, and monitor inventory levels.
- Handle Office Management Tasks: Manage funds, inventory, purchasing, and scheduling to keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist with Forecasting and Budgeting: Monitor sales performance through analysis and comparison shopping.
What Makes You a Great Fit: - Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
- Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience as a General Manager, preferably in full-service establishments. A culinary background is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage at all levels, including executives and diverse hourly team members, with a proven record of resolving challenging situations diplomatically.
