ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates cash register and properly settles checks.

• Greets and rings all customer checks on cash register, takes money from customer and accurately gives change back to customer.

• Accurately maintains balance of cash register and restaurant checks.

• Inventories stock fills requisitions and communicates with the kitchen and beverage department in order to maintain proper levels of foods and beverages at all times.

• Records all tips collected from credit cards, comps, and room charges.

• Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.

• Monitors, prepares, displays, and maintains food items to insure presentation and freshness throughout the shift.

• Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.

• Maintains, cleans, organizes and stocks prep area in accordance with established property guidelines to include health and safety.

• Maintains a comfortable atmosphere by monitoring temperature, maintaining furniture arrangement. Dusting/cleaning bookcases, shelving, windows, TV monitors and remotes, vacuuming floors and rugs, cleaning windows, etc.

• Ensures all reading literature provided for guest is current to include newspapers, magazines and casino collateral

• Monitors and maintains bathroom cleanliness and supplies at all times.

• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.

• Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos.

• Promotes casino events and programs.

• Works closely with Casino Hosts to prepare for and accommodate the needs of the guest.

• Works well with others.

• Provides personalized service and uses guest name.

• Resolve service problems according to guidelines.

• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

• Must be 21 years of age.

• Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.

• Excellent customer service/communication skills

• Must have food service knowledge in order to prepare and maintain food items within property guidelines to include health and safety.

• Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.

• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.

• Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.

• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.

• Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

• Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., pens, money, garnishes), bend, stoop and twist while preparing cocktails; stand and walk for up to four hours; able to use hand motions when preparing and pouring all types of drinks, and when cleaning and wiping bar areas.

• Able to work in constricting areas.

• Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights.

• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
