We're looking to hire an energetic and outgoing host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You'll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations. Provide warm, friendly, and enthusiastic greetings to guests while quickly guiding them to a table or bar seat, distributing guests volume across a manner that distributes FOH service staff evenly. Provides clear and empathetic organization to guests while on a wait and prioritizes limiting wait times in whatever manner possible. The host will be responsible for confirmation phone calls and noting special requests. The host will also communicate with management and staff when special requests are made by guests. Responsibilities:
• Ensure guest satisfaction from first to last interaction
• Engage each guest with a friendly, informative greeting upon arrival
• Stay informed of restaurant and hotel offerings
• Be able to answer guests' questions confidently
• Uphold company standards for reservation taking
• Provide initial waters, menus, and other needs to guests upon seating as able
• Assist in answering phone calls and coordinating to-go orders
• Maintain a clean and stocked work and guest area
• Maintain informative, empathetic dialogue when building and maintaining a wait list
• Maintain constant communication with staff and management about guest requests, wait times, overseating, and/or guest issues (i.e. intoxication)Urge guest cautions during wet conditions after rain and other hazards
• Maintain a clean and stocked work and guest area
• Maintain respectful communication with managers, co-workers, and guests at all times
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Participate in cleaning duties as required by management
• Take out host trash as needed and at the end of the night
• Attend training classes and meetings as required by management Qualifications:
• Willingness to meet and exceed guest expectations
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Be able to work in a standing and mobile position for long periods of time
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to keep F&B areas organized, stocked, and clean
• Possess a valid food handling certificate and TABC certificate
• Must agree to a background check
• Must be eligible to work in the United States Compensation: $13 - $15 hourly
