The iconic Providence Oyster Bar located on Federal Hill is searching for a full time Restaurant General Manager. Salary and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications: - Restaurant management experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Understanding of budget and financial planning.
- Preferred, Kitchen experience and knowledge of Raw Bar operations.
- Preferred, be familiar with point-of-sale and payroll systems.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the restaurant operations.
- Manage team recruitment, training, and performance management. Address concerns as necessary through coaching and counseling techniques.
- Adhere to the Health Department standards at all times.
- Ensure the FIFO (First In, First Out) process is followed to include all products are appropriately dated.
- Ensure the refrigerator food storage safety measures are adhered to, to include product placement and temperature logs.
- Uphold restaurant and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Be ServSafe Manager certified. Ensure necessary team members have valid certification.
- Be ServSafe Alcohol or Tips certified. Ensure necessary team members have valid certifications.
- Draft the weekly schedule and submit to Upper Management for review. Schedule self during the busiest time periods.
- Manage the payroll edits.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventories. Order supplies as needed. Ensure ordered items are received and stored appropriately. Review and submit invoices for payment.
- Be familiar with the monthly and quarterly budget and financial results. Look for opportunities to reduce unnecessary spending.
- As a leader, uphold the company's policies and procedures.
